- MrBeast becomes the first user to amass 1 million followers on the social media app Threads.

Threads, a text-based chat tool, was launched on July 5 as a competitor to Twitter.

- MrBeast, whose real name is Jimmy Donaldson, gained a substantial following within hours and reached the milestone at 2:42 p.m. (BST) / 9:42 a.m. (EST) on July 6.

- Mr.Beast's bio on Threads states: "Future Threads CEO." After posting only three, he already has over one million followers.

MrBeast asked his followers to 'like' a post if they agreed that Mark Zuckerberg should make him CEO of the app.

MrBeast holds a few Guinness World Records titles, including having the most supporters on YouTube for a single male and being the highest-grossing YouTube profiteer in 2021 with an estimated $54 million (£40 million).
